End of 2006

It's amazing how the whole year has sped by. I was still wondering in Dec 05 how I was going to survive 2006 as 2005 had been rather topsy turvy. But God was good, He knew how much I could bear, and 2006 was generally rather smooth-sailing at work. But it was eventful no doubt, with the passing of my three remaining grandparents, the conception of the little one, not forgetting a maldivian experience among other memories. Yeah, one year has passed just like that.

Derod and his table won tickets to GV gold class after dressing up in victorian style and we utilized them the day before mama passed away. It was an experience alright, perhaps enough for us to get two tickets for my parents for their wedding anniversary.

2007 will be a really different year, now that derod and I have charted the direction, which will really change our lives altogether. In many ways, I will miss what I have now, but in equally many ways, am looking forward to life after this turning point.

Week-by-week growth in the last trimester of pregnancy is really showing its effects. I'm significantly bigger and moving around is getting tougher. It's difficult to breathe at times, and the little one is really pushing his limits up my ribs, lungs and chest. He's a little smaller than average, estimating at 2 kg now, and for that, I'm thankful. Being proportionate to my size far beats being proportionate to his father. Sleeping is tough too, and there were nights of severe backache, vomitting and hence just staring at the ceiling even though I'm so tired. Perhaps all this due to the physical stress on my body with events in December. I've had rest and hope will recover well and that the last 2 months of carrying him will be relatively smooth.

To my friends: may your 2007 be a year where your joy in God is complete through obedience and utter enjoyment of His presence!
