More shots
More pictures from the City Exhibition. We received a large crowd that day at the Opening. The students went about preparing for a way to "unveil" the banner and due to lack of time, came back with a large red ribbon equivalent of the hong hua xiu qiu. It sprouted much laughter. I wonder what was going through the mind of those who went on to cut the ribbon.
This is how the ID exhibition looks like. The panels are supported by made-to-measure metal bars, specially designed and configured by our ID students. As it is a U-shaped glass enclosure, it looks like a really nice gallery.
A view of the aki exhibition. It sneaks you a peek at the upper level ID one.
Eh... me and the core group of students who ran this whole thing.
And whadayaknow?! My parents got shot again!! This is so where's-wally.Tuesday, June 13, 2006
City Exhibition 2006
The exhibition is over and I could literally feel the load off my shoulders. I must say I kinda enjoyed the Opening.
Parents were there and my colleague snapped a picture of them viewing the models, without knowing who they are. So imagine my surprise when I saw them appear on the computer screen when reviewing the pictures.
The Industrial Design students were so kind to let me take a picture on the prototype of their design, that is otherwise labelled "please do not sit" to everyone else. Thanks Priscilla and Eugene!! Onio has visited the Salone Internationale del Mobile (Milan International Furniture Fair) this year, and is the award-winning entry for competitions.

An(gs)ty Days
Most unshamelessly, I'm quite happy to find much compassion shown to me on those ants-y days hahaz. Much to my delight, I went home to two patches of ants carcasses (if you can call them that) yesterday. Baygon works!
The concepts of survivor of the fittest and never say die are real evident in that army (erm, I'm referring to the ants, in case there's a mis-read here). They have plotted another route. I saw quite a few scouts in a certain direction. Derod may be exiting the jungle one day ahead of schedule. Yeah!! So we two exterminators will come in full force to wipe them all out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go away...
It's really happening...
Monday night's the mosquitoes, Tuesday was the army of ants on the dead baby lizard near the door and the ambush I pulled over the ant's nest I discovered. Wednesday's when I discover remnants of those ants around my hot dog bun breakfast, in my handbag(!)...
I sure do hope the next few days will be normal.

On my own
Derod has been sent into the jungle and I'll be on my own for one week, and to face the potential attacks of cockroaches and lizards. Yes, these pests have literally sprung attacks on me in my own home. Even kermit has "attacked" me a few times on my way home from the mrt. I dont believe it.
At work, organizing the exhibition is my responsibility. The frustration is really welling up inside and I cant wait for it to be over.
God, please let things go on smoothly, and Friday to arrive soon. Dont think I can take it much longer...
