Melaka
We hit Melaka two years ago with eek and his friend Ky for the Ds' wedding ceremony. We took the opportunity to holiday in the town and it was a trip consisting of fast rides (with a close shave), overwhelming quantities of food, loads of time on foot and good company. Though we didn't meet Ky until the trip, I must say we got along very well and today, memories of the trip are still vivid in my mind. The stay at the local Peranakan hotel was the highlight and this was how we looked back then, our carefree selves.

Two years later, we revisited Melaka with a new addition. I suppose other than the constant ride of 110km and the difference in the company and accommodation, nothing much has really changed. We still spent loads of time on foot (with gabe on wheels of course), travelling around the central parts of the town, dashing across traffic in as safe a manner for the boy as possible (ok... a bit of an irony), and shopping and eating! Boy... were we eating ; )
I'd put together a small mental list of food to put into our tummies. For one, the chicken rice balls at the river where the OCBC bank is located is number one on my list. Two years ago we reached the shop at past 1pm and was told that it was all sold out. Never again will I make that mistake. Hence, we got the company together and reached before noon in order to taste the yummilicious chicken and the accompanying rice balls. Do not be deceived by the red-shop rival, which has its branches strewn across the town. You simply cannot compromise on such things. Next on the list was the satay with the special pineapple sauce. A director of a local QS firm had taken us there when we went to Melaka on some official business. Finishing with some local dessert, spicy noodles and roadside char kway tiao, I suppose this trip has satisfied my tummy pretty much haha. Looking forward to more trips with the family, and friends in the future.

I FOUND IT!!!!!
haha... hee hee... hae hae...
Without much hope, I'd actually called the taxi company and requested for the driver to try to search his backseat for the phone. I'd left a message at the lost and found department, informing the driver that I'd pay the taxi fare for the trip back to return me the item.
I was just repeating to derod (again and again) how terrible I feel when I just uttered a casual prayer to God "please let me find my phone" and derod's mobile rang! We rushed to pick up the call, which informed us of the good news.
I'VE FOUND MY PHONE!!!!!!!!!! Thank God!!!!!!!!!! Okie, me reachable once again *huge grin*

LOST!
I don't believe it. I actually L O S T my mobile phone. I'm not like that. I don't lose mobile phones. I don't lose wallets. I don't lose keys. But I actually lost my mobile phone!!!!!! *wail*
The last I remembered, I put it into the pocket of my pants and climbed into a cab carrying gabe. Either I dropped it in the cab or when I exited it at the foot of my block. Tried calling my own number but was greeted with the message "the xxx customer is not available, please try again later". I never turn my phone off, and it was definitely not in low battery mode. Someone must have taken it.
I'm so upset.
Anyway, this post is more to inform you guys that the number I'm using is no longer available. Please contact derod if you need to reach me. The number is precious to me, so I'll probably ask if the telephone company can reinstate the same number to me on another card. Till then, I'm available through derod.
