The difference this time round is that it is no longer a local affair. Derod has taken flight together with his comrades in the wee hours of this morning. He had put gabe to bed last night and left for the airport to catch the red eye flight up north for his two-week-plus stint.
Sigh...
While he has to contend with living in "coolie quarters" and tonners in the jungle, I'll have to manage the little one alone. God has been most gracious in providing help from parents to church friends who make dinner. But the older of a pair of twins touched us the most when he called just before derod left the house to say take care for the trip. Awwww..... thanks so much for the sweet gesture.
